Valentine’s Day could’ve been better. The last couple years, I accidentally had magical days. This time, the night was kinda crummy. Probably from expecting too much and surrounding myself with the wrong situations. Oh well. The Masquerade Dance was small, but not terrible. Mask-making was the best part.

This weekend has been a stand-still flurry of downtime. It consisted mostly of painting and the beginning stages of my college search. The searching is already giving me a headache. I grabbed a copy of The Princeton Review: The Best 368 Colleges at the library this weekend, accompanied by many hours of internet surfing and at least an hours worth of one sided parent discussions. This is the best time of my life.
The weather was flawless today, so i decided to try and paint on my back porch again. This was a mistake; this is always a mistake. The neighborhood 5-10 year olds crowd around and try to watch, ask questions, touch stuff, and squabble. I dont mind this really, becasue I love to encourage people about art. After about twenty minutes, repeating “Adam, please avoid eating the wet paint. Yes, Jasmine, you were here last time. Sable! Don’t climb on Hanlei’s bike! ” gets old. This is why I could not be a good teacher. No patience.
