Mei Grows Tall

My name is Meili. I consider myself quirky as a rule.

I wish that I could sum myself up in a few words, like many neatly packaged, perfect suburban girls – but I can’t. My interests and habits as spread far and wide, like what’s left over when you throw an egg against the wall.

I choose to live my life so that I can be unashamed when I come before God. Surprisingly, I don’t think it’s that difficult. Like the invitation to my only real birthday party said, there’s “no drugs or booze or weird stuff” in my life. Only the ordinary sort of weird stuff.

I’m mad about tennis, painting, dresses and Hugh Laurie on House. I really enjoy taking pictures, art, and going to museums. I like things that are blueberry and nothing beats a real hug from a friend. Houndstooth is my favorite print, I’m nearly always broke, and becuase I procrastinate, I can’t always be relied on (I’m incapable of typing the word “because” right on the first try. Now I dont bother). I’m also a juice person; easily enough, that means I like juice. It also means that I’ve recently given up carbonated stuff, becasue refined sugar is the devil.

There is a special place in my heart for rainy days, scarves, and adventures with my friends. I read intensely from an early age, and opt to do so whenever possible. Those who read well generally write well, so that pleasure turned into this blog. For the record, six foot Mei is supposed to be whimsical.
